Keith has been a patient of Sports Activity Medicine from a young age and tells his account of being a patient and disciple of Dr. Reedy.

I have known Dr. Reedy for 28 years. I was 16 years old and football was my life; I met Dr. Reedy on a horrific day in 1982 when I incurred a severe knee injury while playing football. With his care and medical expertise I was able to mentally and physically overcome my injury. Since that time, Dr. Reedy has not only been my medical doctor, he has also been a great mentor. I have complete confidence in his medical ability and admire the compassion he has for his patients. Not only does he treat the injury, he plays an important role in his patient's lives in their overall recovery. We are blessed to have him on the plateau.

Eva Means is a former basketball player and long time patient of Sports Activity Medicine. She recalls the treatment she has received in the past to today.

I have been a patient of Dr. Reedy's for the last 15 years and I've always been impressed with the level of professionalism and integrity with which Dr. Reedy runs his practice. I first saw Dr. Reedy when I was a sophomore in high school and had injured my ankle playing basketball. Later, as a senior in high school I tore my ACL and although season -ending injuries are something that Dr. Reedy sees frequently, he dealt with my injury with compassion and empathy. Not only did he treat the physical injury, he helped me deal with the emotional disappointment of injuries that eventually ended my basketball career. After my high school years, Dr. Reedy continued to allow me to call him with questions when I moved out of state for college and even when I moved out of the country. He treated me as a friend with a genuine concern for my health and well-being. Dr. Reedy is an incredible physician because he cares for the PERSON and not just the patient.

Murray Johnson has been a long time patient of Sports Activity Medicine. He tells the story of a crucial time in his life when Dr. Reedy and staff came through for him and his family.

My first contact with Dr. Reedy was at his Enumclaw, Washington office about 25 years ago while I was the head football coach at Auburn High School. Since that first appointment Dr. Reedy and I have served in various roles along side each other in the Auburn School District sports community. He has been my trusted doctor and a wonderful friend.

One morning, late in June 2004, I was sitting in our living room and I started to feel very strange. My vision became fuzzy and my thoughts wandered; I was unable to think clearly or know what I should do about it, yet I had no pains. Frustrated by these feelings I called my wife at her office to ask what I should do. "Call Dr. Reedy and tell them I'll bring you right in," was her reply. I called and remember hearing the reassuring voice of Joyce (Dr. Reedy's RN) staying on the phone with me until my wife arrived and we were on our way.

Less than five minutes later I walked into Dr. Reedy's office, and was escorted immediately to the lab area where I was placed on a table and connected to the EKG equipment. Within moments they found I was having a heart attack. They called 911, administered aspirin and continued to monitor my status until the aid car arrived. Delayed by a practice run, the aid car arrived 11 minutes after the original 911 call was placed. For all of us it seemed like hours.

On my way out of the lab, in the hands of the paramedics, I looked up to see Dr. Reedy comforting my wife, assuring her that everything possible was being done to save my life. I asked him if I was going to make it. I didn't get the answer I was looking for but I did get the answer I needed the most. Dr. Reedy calmly said, "It's in God's hands." After hearing his reply I relaxed for the first time, trusted what he said and remained calm over the next few days until my release from the hospital.

We will be forever grateful to Dr. Reedy, Joyce and his entire staff for the care we were given in our time of great need. We've always received personal, caring and complete care from Dr. Reedy and staff regardless of the situation. I can think of no better place in the world to have a heart attack. We are grateful for all the years of care.
